Biography:

Cedric Tai, born in Detroit 1985, is represented by Simone DeSousa Gallery in Michigan and has an MFA from the Glasgow School of Art, 2013.
Tai has taught at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Eastern Michigan University and worked as an educator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit and the Detroit Institute of Arts.

He currently makes work, writes and collaborates with artists between Los Angeles, Detroit and Glasgow.

Recent awards include a 2009 Kresge Artist Fellowship, a 2015 Knight Foundation Grant towards arts programming between Glasgow and Detroit, and a 2016 Vermont Studio Center Fellowship.

He has received over 50K cumulatively for the cultural programming of "Over Over Over" from various foundations.
